It is not every day that you will see a puppy boarding a bus. However, every day this seems to be the case in Seattle. No leash, no owner, no problem!
History
Everyone enjoys Eclipse, the black Labrador, and Mastiff mix on the bus. It began quite some time ago. Waiting at the bus stop, Jeff Young took too long to finish his cigarette. When the bus arrived at the stop, Eclipse simply got on alone and rode to the dog park stop. She exited and went to play. Â Subsequently, from that day forward, she often rides by herself.
Owner Confidence
Jeff knows she can ride by herself through the 4 stops on the D-line without issue. Admittedly, she is a sweet girl who is intelligent and determined. Consequently, the hound plays at the park, and her dad always catches up to her. After all, she is one of the locals.
Delightful Rider
All the bus drivers on the route know her on sight. Some officers might say the Eclipse should be on a leash, but King County allows dogs on public transport at the driver’s discretion. This pooch causes no harm and makes passengers smile. Everyone adores this confident pup.
This doggie her own Facebook page. It touts her daily bus ride on the D line to Belltown dog park. She is pretty proud of herself. In the event, you meet this lucky furry pup, say hi, Eclipse. She’s the Rush Hour Rider.
