When we come across someone we know in an unexpected place, we remember the saying “it’s a small world.”
We all have our stories of meeting our old acquaintances or friends after years of no communication. Or sometimes, we travel miles away only to see someone from our hometown.
Dogs, like humans, have a small world, too.
Having a dog makes you become familiar with your local park. You probably know the best walking routes and the other dog walkers, too.
Dogs are naturally friendly to people and animals. One day, when Jessica Zic took her dog, Dolly, out for a walk in Nashville, she was surprised that Dolly was going crazy upon seeing another dog.
The most interesting thing about the situation is that the other pup looks precisely like Dolly. They were both Golden Doodles, who looked identical with curly orange-brown fur coats, fluffy tails, and floppy ears.
It is possible to come across a dog outside with the same breed as your pet. But, in Dolly’s case, the resemblance was strange.
While the two pooches were bonding, Jessica and the owner of her dog’s new friend, Becky Bird conversed. And they discovered something enthralling.
The canine that Dolly was calling out is Wally, Dolly’s brother. Becky said they’re on a road trip from Chicago to Florida then stopped in Nashville along the way. She remembered that she had seen Dolly before on Instagram when she was still a puppy. And the pieces are slowly completing the puzzle.
Dolly and Wally were siblings born earlier this year in Wheaton, Missouri. They were eight weeks old when they both got adopted in May.
Their reunion’s videos and photos showed that they still recognized each other despite the short time they spent together. And the story was too good to be kept, so Jessica shared it on Facebook.
She captioned her post as an early Christmas gift for Dolly. She mentioned that they were having a walk at Centennial Park, then they saw a puppy who looks exactly like Dolly. The other dog’s owner recognized Dolly from Instagram and said Wally is her brother!
And for the first time since they were eight weeks old, the siblings played together.
Many people shared and reacted to Jessica’s post. Strangers even thanked her for sharing the heartwarming story.
These pup siblings proved that our family always has a place in our hearts. It’s easy to catch up with them despite being separated for a long time.
