We could only imagine how hard life must be for stray doggos. Not only do they need to scavenge for food, but they also have to find a way to survive extreme climates.
STRAY DOGGOS
Recently, the state of Texas experienced its worst winter storm in decades. As a result, think about all the stray pups that were stuck outdoors.
Fortunately, for some of these stray puppies, there are good Samaritans like Elizabeth Canchola. Elizabeth made the local news last week because of her kind heart. She saved the life of a stray puppy. Consequently, the doggo’s popularity on social media led to him finding a forever home.
It’s amazing how this black Labrador, named George, found himself a loving family after almost freezing to death during the Texas winter storm. Elizabeth heard about George when she saw him on a post on her neighborhood’s Facebook group. The dog lover couldn’t resist fostering this poor pooch.
Elizabeth has plenty of fur babies at home. She’s the mother of four doggos and two cats. But despite her home having no more room for another pet, Elizabeth took George in. The fur mom shared that the stray pup was very hungry and thirsty when he was under her roof, so her family did all that they can to make the pup’s life comfortable.
During a TV interview, Elizabeth was asked why she decided to take care of George. She explained that she was afraid that no one else would step forward to take the responsibility. Elizabeth, being a fur mom, wouldn’t be able to live with herself if she found out that this doggo froze to death.
George was handed over to the Houston SPCA, but his journey did not end there. Because of the local news covering their story, and Facebook posts about George going viral, this lucky pup was adopted by a family who heard all about him on Facebook.
